the building was very atmospheric, the gardens so relaxing to wander in, sadly we hadn't taken bathing suits and the other guests were enjoying the pool .The staff very friendlly and helpful .Excellent buffet breakfast.
the dinner menu restricted.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff is excellent. The restaurant is quite good. Tehe area is beautiful. The hotel is close to a beautiful medieval town.
This is a converted monastery that was built in the 10th century or earlier. It is an amazing hotel. Service is great and the rooms and facilities are very nice.
Nice atmosphere. Relaxing. For people who like to have a quiet hotel and not crowded.
The breakfast was very basic. Not a 4 star hotel quality.
We enjoyed the comfort and position of the room. The breakfast and dinners were great. The pool was very refreshing and relaxing. The hotel was also about 1 hour drive from all the cities we visited. The staff was very helpful.
We found out too late that some of the windows had screens and so we did not open the windows at night for fear of mosquitoes. Also I misunderstood that green towels for the pool were free every day. These unfortunate situations were my fault more than the staff's- I could have asked about the problems.
The rooms were not clean. The bathroom amenities were used and were empty. Although we have booked two rooms same category- romantic room- the rooms were totally different. One of the rooms was a big room with a big bathroom with jacuzzi and the other room was a smaller room with a regular bathroom with shower .There is no good restaurant near the hotel - the only way to eat a good meal is to drive 20 minurtes
The authentic atmosphere of staying in a monastry.
As we arrived by bicycle, it was hard to locate the property and was some way out of the town.
Excellent historical location. Former residence of the cardinal della Rovere who became pope after pope Borgia.
We got a deal on the price because we were looking for one night and they had one night open and were letting it go for 1/2 price. It is a monestery, so everything is big: halls, dining room, library. And it's all built of stone. Breakfast was excellent: juices, coffee, rolls, meats, cheeses, cakes. There were many other guests, but we heard no one and did not know how many were there until we came down for breakfast The room was very nice, and the staff was very helpful about where to go and what to see in the area.
The service is excellent, the swimming pool is awsome and it is all really relaxing there. If you need a weekend break you definetely should go there!
I didnt like the the room where we stayed. The room was small and had one little window only.
